What is scuba diving?

Scuba diving is one of the fastest growing industries, attracting millions of people every year. What really makes all the divers enjoy these passages every day is the adventure, the feeling of exploration and the richness of corals and other marine life.

We started diving a long time ago. The word diving is related to underwater swimming. The word scuba is an abbreviation for “self-contained scuba,” and it has become acceptable to refer to scuba as “equipment” or “device”. Therefore, we understand that the word scuba diving is swimming underwater with special equipment.

Many people think that scuba diving is oxygen while scuba diving. Although the body needs oxygen to survive, oxygen may be toxic under pressure. Therefore, gas divers use normal air from the tank to compress. The air consists of 78.084% nitrogen, 20.946% oxygen and 1% other gases, which have little effect when breathing compressed air.
