Triathlon training in Mexico

Growing up in northern New York, I moved to Arizona until I was 27, and I became aware of the true diversity of the Sonoran Desert. Living in Nogales, Arizona, bordering Nogales, Sonora, Mexico, I gradually realized that Mexico and Southern Arizona have a very bad reputation.

Of course, Mexico has its problems, but ignoring the huge opportunities that this country offers to athletes in multiple sports will be a mistake. I specifically talked about a small fishing village about 5 hours south of Nogales, Arizona. San Carlos, Sonora, Mexico is a paradise for sports lovers.

I stumbled upon this jewel, even before I was interested in multiple sports. After working at the border for several years, I finally had enough courage to take the plunge and start exploring the vast space of Mexico. Sixteen years later, I learned this language, traveled all over the West Coast of Mexico, and married a senorita from below…
