Square phobia – fear of open space
Square phobia is a bit more complicated than this – fear of problems without the opportunity to escape or get help. A lady has contacted me and he has been deteriorating for more than seven years. Initially, when people visited the house and developed into a situation where she could not enter the bank or any public place without full panic attacks, it began to feel a little uneasy. Her heart would scream, she would feel sick and sweat, almost fainting in the idea of buying a loaf of bread. Her people who visited her home have become more and more annoyed. Her symptoms are social phobia or square phobia, which has never been diagnosed by medicine. What is even worse for her is that her youngest child began to replicate her behavior in a social setting, which is the final reminder of her action. Her doctor has given her medication, but she did not find it helpful to change anything in these difficult circumstances, just to make the symptoms of panic attacks dull. No one really knows the cause of the phobia in the square, although they may be influenced by some parents, affecting whether a person may develop these conditions, such as overprotection or over-emphasis on the dangers of strangers.
Social phobia – not just shy
Social phobia is not just shy, it is an absolute fear in some cases, including meeting strangers, shopping, answering calls or starting a conversation. We can make mistakes and think that someone is a shy person, but in fact they are trying to control the symptoms of panic. Unfortunately, like my clients, these symptoms get worse over time and there are often more and more situations. Guilt exacerbates this situation, because loved ones must also experience this situation, of course in this case – the woman is very upset that her child has to go to the store to find her, she and her children may have family and friends, nor She can help them and even participate in family activities. This is a vicious circle of torture, not just one aspect. Undoubtedly, people who have not encountered such a situation can hardly understand how serious it affects people's lives and relationships.
Square phobia treatment
Traditional treatments for phobias and social phobias are usually offered in two ways – drugs and CBT. Antidepressants are often prescribed because there may be a correlation between depression and phobia, or mild sedatives can slow the symptoms of panic attacks. CBT is often offered and very effective. It is usually up to fourteen sessions and helps you identify unrealistic or unhelpful beliefs and teach skills to react more positively to situations that cause difficulties. My client has two courses – the first is a complete medical history, then the hypnotherapy treatment. After the meeting, I put her in the car and went to our local supermarket. Her husband had been waiting outside the car, and then. We went straight to the supermarket to dance, yes, danced in the aisle, knocked on some shows and trolleys that I might add, because we are not particularly good at tango. The second meeting two months later to ensure everything went well and to ensure that the treatment was deeply implanted in her subconscious mind. Four years later, although I don't think she recently danced in the aisle, she has already attended her cousin's wedding, going to church every week and not sending her children to bread.
