Getting Started with Autoimmune Diet (AIP)

In view of the recent surge in lifestyle diseases, many of us have begun to understand the role of healthy diets. Some research papers have proven time and time again that a healthy diet is essential for restoring health in the treatment of chronic conditions. Here I specifically talk about one such diet, the autoimmune ancient diet [AIP]. There may be several reasons why this particular diet may be prescribed for you, or it may even be chosen without any advice. Either way, if you feel that transitioning from your unhealthy diet to this diet is a challenge, some basic tips are definitely helpful.

Keep the list convenient

Whether you're working with a healthcare professional or relying on an Internet search, you're sure to encounter a list of foods to avoid in the AIP diet. Print it out of the elaborate list [the finer the better] and fix it somewhere in the kitchen, bright and visible. This way, when you are just starting a diet, you can quickly refer to the list before preparing meals or shopping.

Repair routine

Although the choice of food in the AIP diet is very limited, cooking with less food can be stressful. For example, you might have a dish that is always made with butter, and you can't even imagine if you have to do something with coconut oil, you might think of giving up. To avoid this, the most important thing is to prepare recipes and dishes for all the meals in the day from the beginning. It may seem repetitive at first, but it can help you get into the diet before you think about further attempts to use a small amount of ingredients.

Create your own recipe

Whether it's online or offline, it's hard to find a wealth of information about AIP-based dishes. Now that this diet is becoming more and more popular, the food world's AIP recipes are getting more and more abundant. However, it is important to listen to your convenience, mainly at your local grocery store. For example, if you've liked pasta in the past, don't just eat plantain pasta and see recipes in the AIP book. Think about these ingredients – are they available locally? Consider the convenience – can you spend the time and effort required for the dishes? Finally, consider your own taste buds – just because other people like the plantain pasta doesn't mean you will. It's a good idea to understand the ingredients you have at hand, how it tastes, and how to modify existing formulations to suit the new formula without sacrificing time, effort and taste too much.

Jump into the carriage, don't jump

Unless you have special conditions, it is recommended that you give up every non-AIP project immediately, otherwise you will start eating one dish at a time, then one meal at a time, a full day meal, and a smoother transition to AIP-friendly taste.
