For any waxing process, it is important to provide complete care advice to the customer. This helps them enjoy the newly discovered smooth skin and ensure long-lasting results without irritating.
In making this recommendation, it is highly recommended that it be provided orally and in writing so that the customer can carry it with them. This helps them not forget these suggestions and is especially important for customers who are using wax for the first time.
Written suggestions can be small 1/3 A4 or A6 flyers, and may include promotional information about other treatments. You can also use standard or folded business cards as your aftercare advice, and vice versa to form a loyalty/reservation card.
You should treat each customer as a new customer who does not understand the waxing or the reactions they may encounter. Explaining redness and bumps is a very common reaction that most people experience.
Provide after-care consultation for customers
In most cases, they will cool down and fade within 48 hours. Taking some over-the-counter antihistamine tablets for those with a bad urticaria reaction [bulging sputum] can help solve this problem. Discuss any medicine you purchase with a pharmacist to make sure it is appropriate.
You may find that your skin is currently a little sensitive to calories, and it's absolutely fine when you go home to take a shower or bath – but keep warm and not too hot. In the next 24-48 hours, you should avoid the following:
- Hot bath or shower [warm well];
- Sauna, steam room or hot tub;
- Tanning [sunbathing, sunbed or fake tanning];
- Exercise, fitness or other sports;
- swimming.
We recommend that you do not wear too tight clothing and do not wash your hands first to avoid contact with the treatment area. In addition, do not use any skin care products, deodorants, powders, etc., other than the skin care products recommended by the therapist.
After a week or so, you may notice a small amount of regeneration. Your hair needs up to four treatments to perform a growth cycle for the best results.
Hair needs to be at least 5 mm long to be successfully removed by waxing. Please don't shave between appointments. In order to maintain a smooth appearance, we recommend regular waxing every 4-6 weeks.
To avoid starting to grow inward within a few days of the appointment, use the loofah, exfoliating gloves or product to gently scrub the skin three times in the bath or shower. It also moisturizes this area every day, which will help keep the skin soft and help new hair grow properly.
