John Charles Akii-Bua: Olympic Golden Handicap in Africa

Born on December 3, 1949 in the village of Abako, Moroto County, Lango District, Uganda, John Charles Akii-Bua [occasionally misspelled Aki-Bua, or Aki-Buwa, or Akii-Buwa] left school as early as 15 years old. Primary education. Part of his early departure from school was related to his father's death and his having to help with family labor, where he graze cattle and work at local family retail stores. As a boy, Akii is not very competitive in track and field. His informal movement has accumulated strictness from cattle that graze and protect wild animals. Shortly after his Olympic gold medal was won, in an interview with Sports Illustrated, Aki proudly said that when he was there and would not track his grazing animals, the lion was particularly tired of his existence.

When Akii joined the police force in the capital Kampala, still in his teens, he again benefited from strict police training. Aki's…

How to choose the right discus

If you want to know why the last two blog posts are related to discus, the answer is simple. Track and field is coming, and many of Robbins Sports' customers will ask questions about the right track and field equipment. This is why I am driving this article.

Many high school students have entered the track and field season and are ready. They are very excited, sometimes they just jump in before they know all this is needed. This also applies to discus throwing. You might think that they don't have much discussion – you pick up a round metal object, rotate it a few times and throw things as much as possible, right? Well, this is the main theme of it. But to get the best distance, it's important to choose the right size discus. The chart below shows the correct size for the correct entrant.

Millrose Games celebrates 100th birthday as Track's most prestigious indoor event

I think you have to be a runner to enjoy the Milrose Games, which celebrates its 100th game at Madison Square Garden in New York on weekends.

The Milrose Games is unlikely to be the most prestigious indoor track in the world, and it is actually the most prestigious indoor invitational venue in the world. As a runner in high school and college, you dream of running at the Milrose Games in Madison Square Garden, just as football players dream of playing in the Super Bowl.

Track and field has recently been in trouble in the United States, which is why Milros’s 100th campaign is so important. As Dick Patrick's 2007 Milros Games was written in "USA Today" on Thursday [2-1-07], "the US monopolizes the demise of the once vibrant indoor track and survives."

Patrick is right.

Due to the tragic loss of President John F. Kennedy, Camelot not only lost its brilliance, but the Milrose Games lost some…

Developing a free-riding hitchhiker style

In my opinion, few track and field events are more exciting and interesting than long jumps. Along the strong sprint of the runway, the jump seems to float in the air with a beautiful leap, a sudden landing sand explosion – the long jump is really amazing. But then I was biased!

1: In my opinion, few track and field events are more exciting and interesting than long jump. A strong sprint on the runway, a jump shot seems to float in the air, a beautiful leap, a sudden landing sand explosion – the long jump is really amazing. But then I was biased!

2: If you look closely, you will notice that the jumper has been twitching his arms and legs as if he were running in the air. While you might think this helps push the jumper into the air, it actually requires a "phantom" run to maintain balance.

3: When the jump shot sprints the runway, he has a forward movement. When he put his foot into the air, the jumper is…

Enlightenment from young sports stars

As a young man, I can rank in the national race on the youth track and cross country. I have no loss and all the first place for 4 consecutive years. I am very fortunate to find something I am good at in my early days. life. I didn't realize when people stood up and wanted to see me and told me how much they liked to watch my running and winning. Today, I understand that because this is an innate feeling, we must see other people, especially the weak, overcome and win. Perhaps why the Rocky series is so popular, why do people like movies like Karate Kid?

Recently, I watched a very inspiring YouTube video about young athletes. The 7th grade trail runner defeated all the high girls in the state championship. Her name is Grace Ping. You may wish to watch the following videos yourself:

1]. “Grace Ping [GP], a 7th grade student, beat the entire 2015 Roy Griak High School on the FloTrack channel.

2]. "GP is not allowed to contest NXN" on the MileSplit channel

How to improve the jumping height and basketball jumping ability

The chance is that you want to be able to jump higher. I mean, who doesn't want to, right? Whether you want to be able to dunk, cap or improve your high jump in track and field, there are many reasons to improve your jumping ability. With the right exercises and techniques, you will soon gain an edge in the competition.

How to improve your jumping ability.

"___People can't jump." You often hear common excuses that people give because they can't jump higher. This is totally untrue. People of all races can dunk. Of course, some lucky people have more "sports" or "higher" genes, but anyone with the right guidance and the actual desire to jump higher can do this easily.

Simple exercises, such as squats, can exercise your thighs and buttocks, as well as calf elevations, which can quickly increase your leg strength and make it jump higher. You want to avoid too much repetition and any other endurance…

Summer games and the fun of Usain

Summer is the best season for a variety of reasons, especially because of its track and field season. I am particularly looking forward to this summer due to the commitment of another Usain Bolt Master Class. I think he will achieve 400 million this season, which should scare off his competitors.

Who can forget to beat his chest while winning the Olympic gold medal before crossing the finish line? Can any other athlete do this? It is no longer that Usain is against other people. It is more like counter-clockwise of Uesein.

His time is really amazing. I believe he has the ability to go faster. As his body matures and he becomes stronger, he will be able to run faster, which is a terrible idea for his competitors.

How fast is his running speed? I believe he can run 100 meters at the low level of 9.30 and 400 meters below the 200 meters at 19.00. I think he can also break. This man is a true child prodigy, an athlete once in a lifetime.

Having said that, the same is…

Another national leader from New York, Benjamin Cardozo High School 4×400 Relay [3:39.96], could not reduce his performance in the state legislature because Hempstead won Charlene Lipsey at 3:50.59. Donna-Lee Hylton, Velma Morant and Asheka Gibson. Lipsey also won 800 at 2:08.67.
