Preparation and treatment environment

Most practitioners in the art of treatment are immersed in considerations other than client/patient care during most of their working hours. These American health care is a business. In addition to finding the basis for providing services and then absorbing the need to use them, there are management's day-to-day considerations, including working within the limits of the structure and its own model.

Usually, when you really sit down and ask for help, your head is full of details of the day; mechanical rather than personal. Sometimes a huge will is needed to be with another person. Becoming a reality is something that can be achieved but not maintained. Forcing yourself to appear usually means that any distraction can easily become an excuse to deviate from the track again.

In the seminar I did with the therapist, I paired with the participants on the first night and then deliberately set the stage by getting them involved in head-based activities. This mimics the overall atmosphere of their workdays. Then I threw them into an impromptu drama game, alternately asking them to "mirror" each other's behavior.

At the end of the game [without reviewing what had just happened], then I asked them to sit down and let us prepare them to work with others through practice.

Technically, this is an exercise that shifts consciousness into their minds, but most importantly, it is an exercise that identifies the time block that is used as a special time to contact another person who is serving the treatment. . All of this is about the conscious intention to apply to a well-defined period of beginning, middle and end.

Then I asked the participants to do the same exercises with the same partner.

Finally, we revolve around and discuss the differences in preparation. They are usually very big! The “task” of this exercise involves reflecting behavioral observations. Usually the first round is very limited and wonderful observation. However, in the second round, participants found that the nuances of behavior [in themselves and their partners!] seemed completely hidden before. Their current level of intuition has improved substantially.

why? The only change is that they spend time becoming conscious. I teach a state of existence that supports a connection and then encourage participants to design their own state. The most important thing is to spend time with what you are doing before you start doing it. This may seem simple, but frankly, most of us think we don't have time to do it.

But if we do, we will do this. It doesn't need that much. A quiet, intimate place, just a few minutes, you can breathe, get rid of the tension in front of you, breathe more, and then silently say what you are doing – a sure, a prayer, a poem – remind you why you choose That person is together. Then, you walk into the existence of this person; be prepared to concentrate on the moment you are together.

At a particular stage of the relationship, you will pay full attention to the people in front of you. However, it is equally important for you and them to determine the timing of this gut focus will be limited. Many of the therapists I have worked with have clearly stated: "I have enough time to give you all the best, then I need to go into another model." For both of you, this is also an integral part of the preparation. .

We are often worried that by summoning the power of sympathy, we will not be able to turn it off and switch to a more mind-centered work necessity. But in fact, it's not.

Our aim is to be able to move between the two worlds. This is a muscle that you can exercise and strengthen. At first, a certain degree of effort is required. However, when you get used to it, you will learn how to get a full focus by making choices and then distract by making another.
