Button mushroom and cardiovascular disease (CVD)

Scientists may have discovered one of many natural foods used in different cultures, with the potential to reduce risk and prevent cardiovascular disease.

Evidence from epidemiological studies suggests that regular consumption of fruits and vegetables is closely related to reducing cardiovascular risk [CVD] [8] [9]. Dietary fungi, such as mushrooms, can prevent chronic diseases by inhibiting the inflammatory environment by inhibiting inhibitory cellular processes under proinflammatory conditions associated with CVD [1] [2].

According to Dr. Martin KR, Ergothioneine [ERT] is a new type of antioxidant that is found in edible fungi and has been found to be effective in promoting the expression of adhesion molecules associated with atherosclerosis through dietary accumulation. [2].

The standard name for mushrooms, white mushrooms, the flesh of fungi produced on soil or its food sources, the fruiting body of spores, containing several important nutrients, including thiamine [vitamin B1], riboflavin [vitamin B2] , niacin [vitamin B3], pantothenic acid [vitamin B5], calcium, phosphorus, potassium, sodium, selenium, iron, copper and zinc, which are essential for growth, physical function and prevention of chronic diseases [6] 7 ].

Its antioxidants such as Astraodorol, Psilocybin, Lectin, adustin, ribonuclease, nicotine, etc. may also reduce the risk and treat the magical power of various types of cancer [including colon, breast and stomach] by inhibiting cell cycle arrest. Significant inhibition of cell proliferation was observed in cancer cell lines tested [3] [4] [5]].

These findings suggest support for dietary mushrooms in protecting cardiovascular disease, but multiple volumes and large sample studies identify major components that are comparable to existing drugs to improve their validation.

However, studies at the University of Gdansk, reviewing and updating data on macro and micronutrients and radionuclides in wild and cultured mushrooms indicate coexistence
