The Beard Dragon diet will consist of two types of food. The first is vegetation and the second is insects. Here are the main foods you want to feed the beard dragon as a staple food. The staple food is the type of food that can be fed daily. Other things not on this list may not be a good choice and should not be fed.

The most common insect often sold in pet stores is wax insects. Waxworms are high in fat and should not be fed to reptiles. Feed wax mites as a treat only on holidays and birthdays.
