Massage bed – Things to consider before purchasing a portable massage table

There are currently hundreds of portable massage beds on the market. With the influx of cheap Chinese imports and other dining tables, deciding on a suitable table has become a daunting task. Here are the key things to consider before making a purchase decision.

1. from

Table width:

Many people think they should buy the widest table, but there are several factors to consider when deciding on the width of the table. When making a purchase decision, all things to consider are easy to access, providing comfort to your customers and providing comfort and portability to the therapist.

In general, a narrower massage bed will provide you with the most convenient customer access and greater portability. The wider table does give your customers a larger work surface and greater comfort. However, if your desk is too wide, you may have difficulty accessing your customers effectively. Over time, this can make your body irritated and difficult.

For most general health massages, choose a 29" – 30" width depending on your size and customer size. Most tables have standard widths; however, Oakworks, Earthlite and Stronglite offer tables of various available widths. These tables are customizable and have many options, usually more expensive.

Finally, as the width of the massage bed increases, the weight increases. If you plan to travel and still want a large table, consider purchasing a massage table cart to help with your stay.

2. from

Table height:

Most tables have a standard height range of approximately 24" – 34" and will serve most practitioners involved in a variety of massage, facial, physiotherapy, acupuncture and other therapeutic services. In general, the height range should be based on the height of the practitioner.

According to experience, your table should not be higher than your hip joint. You may want the height to be slightly below this height to provide space for the height of the body on the table. If you are particularly tall or short, you may want to consider a table with a variety of available height ranges. Similarly, Oakworks, Earthlite and Stronglite offer a wide range of tables with available height ranges. These tables are customizable and have many options, usually more expensive.

Fill thickness:

When considering the thickness of the foam, the foam density should always be kept in mind. These two factors together determine comfort and durability. Since most massage beds use multiple layers of foam, the only consideration is thickness.

Massage table liners are typically 2 1/4" to 3" thick. This is usually enough to provide a comfortable experience for most customers. Although you may want to increase the thickness, this will increase the weight of the watch and may be detrimental to portability. Finally, dimensions such as exercise therapy are better suited for tables with stronger liners.

You'll find that the higher-end custom table offers a range of optional tops, including sturdy, semi-firm, luxurious, pregnant and breast-friendly.

Easy access to the panel [Aura end plate]:

The easy-to-access panel is a simple, different support frame that connects the two legs to the narrow end of the massage table. Typically, the support panel passes directly through the ends that connect the two legs.

Instead of going straight through, the easily accessible panel is shaped like an inverted U, creating an arched support. This allows practitioners to place their legs between the legs and close to the customers on the table. This is even more important for Reiki practitioners who need access to the client. Any therapist can conveniently slide over the rolling stool under the customer to work on the head and/or feet.

Some massage tables are standard and have no aura end plates, some are optional. This option is usually available for free or for a nominal fee on a better desktop.

brand:

You can buy an anonymous massage bed from Costco for $199, but think hard before you try to save $50. Companies like Earthlite, Oakworks and Stronglite always support their products. Most of these tables provide a lifetime warranty on the frame and a 2 to 2 year interior and liner warranty.

It is important to get bored with cheap imported products that do not have a recognizable brand. The phrase “What you get” is absolutely suitable for massage beds. Don't risk safely securing you or your customers on an unnamed, cheap table. It is not worth it!

6. from

Metal or wood frame:

Both solid wood and metal frames provide a sturdy table base. Most wooden tables can support at least 450 pounds. The most popular tables have wood frames because they generally have a better aesthetic appeal and are often cheaper than metal frame tables. However, metal frames are typically heavier than wooden frames. If you foresee a lot of travel with a table, it might be worth a look at the metal frame table.

Fixed or portable:

If you travel with a massage bed often, you obviously need a portable table. Make sure you get a parcel with a suitcase and other accessories. You can also consider buying a watch so you don't have to support the weight on your shoulders.

If you have a day spa, spa, massage room or salon, you should consider portable and stationary massage beds. Some of the most comfortable and highest quality tables are fixed models. These can vary roughly in price, but are usually driven by electronic height adjustments, manual or electric tilting tops, salon tops, manicure armrests and other features and options.

8. from

weight:

Although weight is important when considering a portable massage bed, it is not as important as the other factors discussed above. The weight depends mainly on the size of the table, the material and the padding. Wooden tables are usually heavier, but usually look better and are more stable than metal tables. Remember that the wider the table, the thicker the cushion and the heavier the weight on the table. Again, consider a table cart to help make travel easier without sacrificing size and comfort.

Most manufacturers offer aluminum frame tables, but most have wood frames. Wood has proven to be the most commonly used material for these reasons, and it is richer and more cost effective. You usually want to stick to hardwood like maple or oak because they are more stable and durable.

If weight is important to you, check out the aluminum table, but be prepared to pay more because aluminum is usually more expensive than wood.

Before buying a massage bed, consider the importance of these qualities to you. You will most likely want to make a good first impression with your customers so they feel comfortable when they return. Their first experience before the actual massage was on the table. Make sure it doesn't make a squeak and sway, otherwise they won't knock!
