Costa Rica – Spanish and surfing

I started my Spanish course in Playa Tamarindo, Costa Rica, in August 2006. I went to Costa Rica for a holiday in 2005 and spent a few days on the beach in Tamarindo, so I thought Tamarindo would be a good starting point when I decided to study Spanish in Costa Rica. It is located on the Pacific coast of the province of Guanacaste. I know it is a surfing town and a destination for sun worshippers from all over the world.

After setting up my course and studying at the school and town, I started to meet other students. I noticed that most of them were surfing and having fun at every opportunity they got. I can also jog after class, exercise and enjoy the beach most of the time to find me although I have not tried surfing yet, but I am definitely bitten by surfers. Soon I can't wait any longer, I have to see that everyone else is enjoying so much. Next I know that I have been renting for a long time…
