Simple meditation skills

To start meditation, choose the time and place that will not be disturbed during meditation.

When you start, you can decide to reserve 10 or 15 minutes for your meditation class. This is ample time for you to start meditation. In our busy daily life, this may be the longest time you think you can put into meditation. It's ok. No matter what works for you, it's good – spending a few minutes a day meditation is much better than putting it down completely. Over time, you may decide to get enough benefits to increase the amount of time you spend in meditation, but that's exactly what you choose.

If you can make time, your goal should be to have 20 minutes of meditation twice a day. Studies have shown that spending so much time on meditation leads to better health and helps reduce stress and tension in everyday life.

Your meditation list:

o Choose a meditation method [such as breathing or walking meditation]

o Choose a time that is unlikely to be disturbed.

o Choose a place where you can feel comfortable and relax.

that's it!

The time of day should be the habit of meditation at that time. Some people find that the first thing in the morning is that meditation is a good time for them. Others, including myself, meditate on the last thing before going to bed at night. You may find that the time that suits you best is that the family is watching the show on TV. No exact time is best for everyone. What is good for you is good! Just make sure you practice regularly.

The actual location where you decide to meditate also depends on you. Some people have reserved a room in their house as their meditation room, but if you just started, it might be a bit too extreme. Instead, you can decide to meditate in the bedroom, lounge, kitchen and even the garden. The exact location of your meditation is not important – in fact, it is more important that you begin to practice meditation. If you find that the original location you chose is not for you, don't be afraid to change it. The same is true of the time and method you choose. The ultimate benefit of meditation far exceeds the precise meditation method used to gain benefits.
