Surfing in Lanzarote, Canary Islands

Lanzarote is a volcanic island in the Canary Islands, located 50 miles west of the Sahara. It is called Hawaiian Hawaii by many surfers. The Canary Islands mark the southern tip of Europe and enjoy a very good climate.

Like Hawaii, Lanzarote is formed by volcanic activity along the submarine fault line. Along the fault line, the Canary Islands were established. Lanzarote is the most northeastern region of the Canary Islands and the best of the waves.

The sea floor quickly descends from the coast of Lanzarote, allowing the full force of any wave to be directly unloaded on its shores. The storm that flows through the Atlantic Ocean along the northeastern Gulf of Mexico has produced a strong expansion. These waves travel hundreds of miles in the deep sea with little energy consumption. When they reach the beaches and coral reefs of Lanzarote, they produce high quality surfing.
