Meditation does not work unless you are kind to yourself. Many people who want to become practitioners go astray because they make a lot of sense to themselves. They judged. Everything they do is not good enough. They have failed. Comments like this have no place in your inner dialogue at the best of times. This is twofold when delving into the unconscious mind.
But there is a technique from the art of bullying that makes your meditation smoother and easier. In fact, if you apply it in your life, it can solve the pain and even make you a better negotiator.
Use this to ignore your parents and teachers, because this is an ancient abusive art.
The tag is very powerful. Why the campus bullies will take the name of the abusive name. It captured a lot of malicious and condemned in a nice little package.
I don't recommend doing this to anyone, especially yourself.
But when you use neutral thinking to mark things, not malicious…
Ok, I am a fan who is good at using evil tools and using them for goodness.
During meditation, you may notice your physical discomfort. Maybe this discomfort always exists, you notice it now. Then maybe this is the way you sit. If it is helpful to adjust your posture, please don't wait for my permission. Physical comfort is important in meditation.
However, if it does not disappear after a quick shift or a slight creep, then you will use insults. Of course, friendly insults.
A calm, unbiased and neutral mind marks this feeling. If it feels like itching, just “prick it”. If it is burning, try the opposite. Don't worry about accuracy or precision – your attitude is more important than choosing the right label. If you want to keep it simple, use one of the following three labels: Comfort, Neutral or Discomfort. Everything in your body will be one of them.
You may observe this feeling for a while. Maybe you would rather move on immediately. Either way, don't get caught up in it. You have posted the label and move on.
As long as your attitude is truly benign and acceptable, it is related to physical pain. It also applies to social pain. If someone objects to your offer, please mark it in a calm way. “You seem to be worried about our prices.” Really calm down, more effective than any number of pleadings, bargaining or retreating.
You bully your distractions in good faith, they will make you alone. Guarantee.
