Tarot Meditation

In the following, we will provide instructions on how to implement a simple but powerful tarot meditation technique. At first glance, meditation and tarot cards are two disciplines that are far from each other. However, this is not necessarily true. Our meditation can benefit from the use of tarot cards because they are powerful and effective visualizations. On the other hand, tarot practitioners can use meditation as a tool to discover new, previously unknown relationships between cards and their symbols.

This is a gradual guide to a relatively simple but effective tarot meditation method. The goal we strive to achieve is to project our consciousness into a selected tarot card at a time.

  1. The duration of Tarot Meditation depends on you, but it should not exceed 10 minutes at the beginning.
  2. You should only use the Major Arcana Tarot Deck. More precisely, you should start with a fool, card number 0, and then continuously pass all the major Arcana to the world, card nr. 21. After a month, if you want to do this, you can extend the meditation time to up to 30 minutes.
  3. It is not important to use a tarot deck in this type of meditation. Check out our recommendations for buying tarot cards online.
  4. Put your card in front of you. Adjust the distance so you can see all the details effortlessly.
  5. Gaze at the tarot card for a few seconds. Then close your eyes and mentally try to reproduce what you just observed. Open your eyes again and pay attention to the difference between your mental image and the card itself.
  6. Repeat step 4 several times while gradually increasing the gaze time, and similarly, visualize the time period of the card with the inner eye. Remember that your complete meditation should not exceed 10 minutes.

It is very important to learn to be a neutral observer when doing this exercise. No participation, no predictions, no tension. Just be there, easily see the images on the selected tarot cards and completely relax.

After a while, you will see how [as long as you set it loose enough], you almost never need to see an exact copy of the tarot card you just watched on your inner screen. Once you have mastered this step, you will complete the first phase of this tarot meditation.

After this level of beginners, you are ready to take another step. Now, we will work hard to make the internal image more vivid and vivid. We will try to convert it from a 2D image to a 3D real object. If done correctly, the tarot card you choose will become the window [or portal] of another world. This world will be filled with light, colors, objects and characters. In meditation, you should do the same thing: observe the vivid image calmly and calmly there.

Another more advanced stage is to enter [project yourself] to create real-time images through the portal. It can be a star or spiritual projection, but it doesn't have to be. You will be there and you will observe the environment. You are passive, but you are conscious and observing.

What happens after that depends on the personal characteristics of the person who makes this form of tarot meditation. Maybe you will be aware of some new relationships between a pair of symbols, or new activities between tarot cards. Use all your senses to discover the hidden meaning of the symbol. When this internal image becomes more realistic than the external image depicted on the card, you have established the most important prerequisite for symbol communication.

Finally, it is important to terminate meditation correctly. You should undo these steps as follows.

1. Extract yourself from the inner image.

2. Reduce it from a 3D image to a 2D image.

3. When this image becomes similar to the image depicted on the card, focus on recording your inner meditation experience. The best way is to write them down or express them in some way. By the final step after each meditation session, you will build a bridge between normal superficial consciousness and deeper levels of the mind. Therefore, the benefits of this tarot meditation practice will be expressed through your ability to more easily access and understand your subconscious content. In fact, if you don't understand and deal with the deeper level of your existence, there is almost no self-growth and self-realization.
