Test phobia

Have you ever felt that you don't remember any names, dates, numbers that you worked hard throughout the course before the exam or exam? Your thoughts are blank, you can't collect your thoughts, you will feel sick, your legs are shaking, what you want to do is run away? Or maybe you are so scared before the exam that you can't learn or modify it properly?

If you answer "yes" to one or more of the above questions, you may be suffering from an examination of phobia, which is defined as irrational, overwhelming, excessive and uncontrollable fear or disgust.

Everyone feels nervous before or during the exam. Although experiencing fear can be a positive thing because it can motivate you to work hard, on the other hand, phobia is a magnified horror that can have a negative impact on your life. Phobia can make your life very difficult, because you have to do everything possible to avoid it, or if it is impossible to survive in great pain, it is a terrible situation. In this state, you can't fully realize your potential and achieve the results you deserve.

Test phobia is very similar to the fear of public speaking.

So how can you recognize phobia? What does phobia mean? Can you cure the phobia?

Suppose you are a good student who is studying hard all year round. You are ambitious, you know that this exam is very important, you want to pass the exam. Maybe your parents also have the pressure to ask you [their beloved children] to be the best. You also want to be the best, and you don't want to disappoint your parents. Before the exam, you may experience physical symptoms such as insomnia, stomach cramps or diarrhea. You may not be able to eat or eat too much. You start to wonder if you are good enough to pass the exam. Your confidence has dropped. You start to believe that you may fail. You imagine all the negative consequences. You become overwhelmed when you become nervous. You are frustrated. You start to sweat or may have a headache. If you want to fail, you will start to wonder if there is something that needs to be modified.

At this point, in fact, in the course you prove that it is irrelevant that you understand the subject and can discuss it with great insight and wisdom. You are so anxious that you start panicking, your thoughts are blank, your heart begins to jump, your fears become so overwhelmed, you can't breathe. During the exam, you don't remember the well-known facts, numbers, names or dates. You cannot summon any facts or make any form of argument or coherent discussion.

You may know at a reasonable level that the exam is not a death sentence. This is just an assessment to see how well you understand a topic and how well your teacher is performing to provide you with some knowledge. You have already fulfilled your duties by studying the exam. If you can't answer all the questions, there is no worries. Even if you fail, you can repeat the exam all the time. If you have a phobia, all of this doesn't matter.

However, I have good news. Phobia is very common [no shame] and highly treatable. It is possible to cure phobia, so I highly recommend asking for help.

Imagine what your life would be like if you didn't have a test phobia.
