How to quit smoking – why popsicles can help you quit smoking now

In the past two decades, part of my daily work has been smoking. When I finally decided to learn how to quit smoking, I was not prepared for the various withdrawal symptoms that occurred.

Most smokers know that nicotine withdrawals will occur, as well as the changes needed in social settings. However, I was surprised to find that oral fixed addiction is almost as strong as nicotine withdrawal itself.

In my learning how to quit, I certainly made a small investment in the smoking cessation program, which dealt with nicotine and exercise, which is critical to success. However, I can't overcome the incredible impulse to hang something in my mouth or hang on my lips! I know this sounds weird, but in research, I found this to be a common problem for many people who want to quit.

For a while, I didn't know how to solve this problem until one day it hit me – popsicle! By sucking the popsicle several times a day, I can easily satisfy the desire and feeling of smoking between the lips. The wonderful taste and satisfaction of popsicles is like a charm to me. In my quest to quit, I may have gone to 400 popsicles, however, the cost of keeping these pops far exceeds the cost of a box of cigarettes.

Through all aspects of treatment withdrawal, from nicotine instead of chewing gum to a popsicle oral fixation, I was able to quit. There has been more smokeless for more than a year now.
