But you can use it to reason.
If your subconscious mind wants you to smoke, then you can't do anything about it. This is good news: it is not what your unconscious wants. It knows that like you, smoking kills your wallet, body and attraction. It will give you the urge to smoke anyway, because it needs something else.
Your subconscious mind thinks that smoking adds value. The value of this hypothesis varies from person to person, but you can find the answer through a little introspection. Think back when you started smoking and you might find the answer.
For example, maybe you smoke when you are a teenager because you think it makes you cool. Oh, maybe it does, maybe it doesn't. As an adult, it won't make you feel cool. People think that you are full of self-control. Your unconscious is dealing with old information. It wants you to be popular. A lofty goal, very implemented.
Or maybe your unconscious thinks that cigarettes can help you relax. Again, it is processing the wrong information.
You never smoke for smoking. There is always a reason behind this, what do you think it brings to you. Bringing it to your consciousness will make it easier to quit.
