What does sleep deprivation look like?

Many people are not aware of how they are deprived of sleep. Do you believe that your sleep is normal when your head hits the pillow? Do you think you should take a nap during the lunch break or after you get home from work? Are you easily frustrated or angry? All of this is a sign of your lack of sleep.

Determining children's sleep deprivation is more difficult. Many children behave differently from adults when they are tired for a long time. The problem is that children's sleep deprivation and sleep apnea symptoms look a lot like ADHD. Children will become excited and unable to concentrate. They become very active during the day and not tired.

Sleep apnea also looks different. They will open their mouths or open their breath. They may have some interruptions while sleeping, but not always. They may toss and turn. However, many times the reason for sleep deprivation is because as a parent, we will not let the child go to bed early. They may also be awakened too early. Children need longer sleep times. If you keep them too late, they will miss important sleep time so they can produce growth hormone and consolidate their memories.

In adults, sleep deprivation is a long-term and short-term memory problem because your brain cannot handle memory. It also prevents the brain from cleaning up the waste. This can affect memory and can cause headaches in the morning.

You may experience other symptoms such as fatigue and drowsiness, headaches and snacking. I know that snacks sound like a strange symptom, however, when our brains are tired many times, we misunderstand that the signal is hungry and we make bad decisions that lead us to snack.

Everyone has their own symptoms. This is not an exhaustive list of symptoms, but it does give you a chance to start thinking about your life being caused by sleep, and is it worth your health to give up 1 to 2 hours of sleep?
